Most people taking Saizen® are prescribed Saizen® liquid cartridges which you simply store in the fridge and insert into easypod™ when you need them.

Step-by-step guide to preparing Saizen® with click.easy™

1 Place the device upright (vial at the bottom) on a hard surface. Firmly push the cap down as far as it will go. This breaks the tamper seal.

CHECK: The entire vial should be inside the device before you move on to the next step.

2 Look for the little green square. Turn the cap slightly clockwise until the green square is positioned in the vertical opening.

CHECK: The green square should be in line with the vertical slot.

3 Gently push the cap straight down slowly until it will go no further. This action transfers the solvent (clear liquid) from the cartridge into the vial that contains the Saizen® powder.

CHECK: The green square should now be at the very top of the vertical slot.

4 Swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Do not shake!

CHECK: Look at the vial from underneath and check all the liquid is transferred and the powder is all dissolved.

5 Turn the device upside down (vial on top). Slowly pull the cap downwards until the solution is completely drawn into the cartridge.

CHECK: View the vial from beneath and check all the liquid is transferred. Check that no more than a few drops of solution remain in the vial. If more remains, push the cap up again until a small amount is returned to the vial, tap gently and repeat Step 5.

6 Keep the device in the same position (vial on top). Unscrew clockwise until the cap comes free in your hand. The cartridge should fall out into your hand. If it remains attached to the plastic casing continue to turn the cartridge anticlockwise until it falls away from the device. Do not pull as this may result in your Saizen® solution being wasted.

7 Remove the outer label and write down today’s date on the outside of the remaining label on the cartridge.

8 If you have accidentally shaken the device and your Saizen® appears ‘frothy’, simply place the click.easy™ device in the fridge for 30 minutes and the froth should settle. Then go back to step 5.
